What to expect

Every cue is translated into German and written back with its original number and timecodes.

Play a fast-spoken scene to check that the German lines are comfortable to read.

Writing in German

All nouns are capitalised, and long compound words (Datenschutzerklärung) can be hard to fit into narrow table cells, buttons and slide boxes.

German distinguishes informal du from formal Sie. Business and official documents use Sie, although some brands address customers with du.

Swiss Standard German writes ss instead of ß. Austrian German has some vocabulary of its own.

How it works

  1. Drop your SRT subtitle file with the source on English or Auto-detect.
  2. Check the page count and credit cost, then press Translate.
  3. Download the German file. Signed-in users also find it in History for 7 days.
