Dutch separable verbs split across the sentence (ik bel je morgen op), so the meaning depends on a word at the very end. Check long sentences where the verb particle comes last.
Decimal comma with a point as thousands separator (1.234,5). Dates are day first (14-10-2026).
Dutch in Belgium (Flemish) shares the standard language but uses some different vocabulary and expressions.
